Crispy Skillet Salmon

Crispy Skillet Salmon is a delicious, healthy and super easy dinner time WIN! I made this tonight and it was a hit! All you need is a piece or two of salmon ( I used wild caught Norwegian) sea salt, pepper, lemon (if you like) and oil ( I used EVOO) to coat the skillet! I prepped my sides ahead so this took only about 15 minutes total! I recommend adding this to your weekly dinner rotation!! Salmon is packed with protein and omega-3’s, so good for you! I served it over spinach and my sides were quinoa, steamed broccoli and a sweet potato, so this meal is packed with micro and macro nutrients and flavor!!!

Here’s how to make it:

Season the salmon flesh liberally with kosher or sea salt, pepper and any other desired seasonings.

Heat a large cast iron skillet or non-stick skillet over high heat and add enough oil to generously coat the surface, about 3 tablespoons. Allow the skillet to heat up for a few minutes until it is sizzling hot.

Carefully place the salmon filets flesh-side down, skin-side up on the hot skillet.

Allow the salmon to cook for 6 minutes on the flesh side.

Use a metal spatula to carefully flip the salmon and cook until it is done to your liking, about 4 minutes.

Remove the salmon filets from the skillet using a spatula and serve your favorite way! I served it over spinach and lettuce, added steamed broccoli and quinoa, sweet potato and more lemon! Enjoy!
