Let’s be honest—between work, family, errands, and everything in between, life is full. But being busy doesn’t mean you have to put your health on the back burner. In fact, when life feels chaotic, having a simple, sustainable fitness and health routine can be your anchor, it certainly has been for me!
Here’s how to build one that actually works:
1. Start Small (Really Small)
If you don’t have an hour, take 10 minutes. A quick bodyweight circuit, a brisk walk, or even a stretch session counts. Consistency beats perfection every time. Click here for an Express Strength workout from my channel!
🕒 Tip: Schedule movement like an appointment—even 2–3 days a week is a great start.

2. Stack Healthy Habits
Pair a new healthy habit with something you’re already doing. For example:
- Do squats or practice balance while brushing your teeth
- Prep overnight oats, chop some veggies or do a few mobility exercises while waiting for your coffee to brew
- Walk during your phone calls
Small wins build momentum.
3. Plan, but Keep It Flexible
Create a weekly plan, not a strict schedule. Think “movement most days” instead of “work out at 6 AM every day.” Give yourself options: 20-minute video at home, 30-minute gym session, or a walk at lunch, here is a quick workout that you can do to feel accomplished, even when you’re short on time!
✅ Keep a backup plan for “those days” — a quick 5-minute stretch or walk can still boost your energy.

4. Fuel Your Body Simply
You don’t need elaborate meal prep. Focus on:
- Protein at every meal
- Colorful fruits & veggies
- Adding in healthy options rather than taking away – adding fiber rich foods, nuts and seeds…
- Hydration (keep a water bottle nearby!)
🍎Keep staples on hand like Plain Greek yogurt, eggs, pre-washed greens, and canned beans.
5. Let Go of All-or-Nothing Thinking
You don’t have to “go hard or go home.” Health isn’t about extremes—it’s about consistency, progress, and grace.
Busy seasons will come and go, but your health doesn’t have to wait.
